Plan for development consistency of public spaces

The objective was to create a common and shared vision on the design and functions of public spaces in the city centre of Nantes.
The study comprised two stages. First, a comprehensive survey identified the main problems related to the existing use and the design of public spaces in the city centre and to their role in the future. This first stage was a baseline study, which gave the policy directions to be followed in the second stage.
The plan acted as a guideline for the development of future public spaces.
The consistency between green areas and their future management were also an important aspect of the project.
