+ Details for this project
This area offers great landscapes and is a natural space of exceptional value.
The Poitiers Agglomeration Community has a strong commitment towards the enhancement and protection of built heritage and natural landscapes. Moreover, this local authority wants to integrate the question of the heritage
sites in public life. From the landscape point of view, the rural history and heritage has left a deep imprint in this area. This fosters a strong development of green tourism, which is already profiting from a preservation policy which was implemented dozens of years ago.
After a large-scale territory and heritage assessment (landscape, city planning and architecture) is undertaken, the present study will identify the development potential, as well as the alteration or threat of extinction of these territories. It will provide an answer to the issues related to the protection, management and adaptation of the sites to contemporary uses.
