The ‘Loire échevelée’ is the largest natural park (280 hectares) in the area of Orléans.
The main project requirements were:
• to create a movement of water which would open up the ballast pits and put them in contact with the river,
• to balance tidal creeks and channels in order to enable a terrestrial and aquatic discovery of the site,
• to split water mirrors in order to restore the Loire river bed’s majesty and offer multiple sceneries,
• to offer a dynamic landscape sensitive to flood movements,
• to create new horizons between sand and water and offer new emotions related to the river.
