The Maine riversides are imagined as a bridge between the natural spaces of the upstream and the downstream but also as a sequence of representative collective spaces.
These shores can not be only defined as a simple boundary between land and water. Several longitudinal lines materialize this contact, embankments, slope vegetation, riprap, docks high and low, trees-line, paths, built fronts, etc. This perception is reflected in the project through two particular devices that guide the shaping of the new riversides:
• the folds of the banks, an original device into strata on which the water line drawn at the mercy of the moving landscape.
• the unique buildings located on strategic locations
