WHALESLIGHT HOUSE SURROUNDINGS

This place became a very important tourist attraction, which led to a gradual deterioration. Phytolab developed a master plan to reclassify this plot of land.
The first important measure will be to reorganize access to the site and the car parks. The idea is to offer high-quality reception areas and a tour around the
lighthouse on foot or bicycle. This walk is designed to offer axial and shifted views on the two buildings (old and new lighthouse). The wooded masses are implanted to frame the views and provide public spaces.
All stakeholders, particularly the Ministry of Ecology (because the site is classified) gave a very good opinion to the project. The present masterplan enhances the heritage protection and economic development of this region.
